SUMMER TAIJI PRACTICE
Saturday mornings, 9 am - 10 am

A Quad at Irvine Valley College

Come to Summer Practices and keep your qi flowing throughout the summer.  Warm up exercises, taijiquan, and standing meditation.  Join your fellow students and teachers for free practices all summer long.  Open to all continuing students who've taken Guang Ping Yang taijiquan with Richard Caramagno's Emeritus classes or Andrea Drocco's or JoAnna Schoon's PE classes.  This is a practice only, no teaching;  not appropriate for brand new students.

Remember... one day missed is three days lost!


FALL SEMESTER 2008: August 25 - December 19

Fall semester classes will be offered through the Emeritus Institute at off-campus locations as well as through the Physical Education Department as college credit classes on-campus.  Classes begin the week of August 25, 2008 and meet weekly through the middle of December.  Enrollment starts in July.  You may register by filling out the student application on-line at Irvine Valley College's website.  Enrollment for specific classes can be done online, by mail or in person at the college campus.  Telephone registration is available only for Emeritus Institute classes, if you have your student ID # and know the ticket # of classes you wish to enroll in.

The Emeritus Institute of Irvine Valley College offers classes for older adults in during the weekdays for beginning and continuing students.  Tai Chi classes are taught by Richard Caramagno.  Enroll through Emeritus Institute for these classes, which are free to California residents.  Pre-registration is encouraged, as come classes will close when they fill to maximum capacity.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Register for classes through Irvine Valley College, by internet at the college website at www.ivc.edu.  First, fill out an on-line application to become a student, unless you are a currently active student at either Saddleback College or Irvine Valley College.  Then, enroll in the class(es) you want! 

 

Registration for Emeritus Institute classes can also be done by mail, by fax, or in-person.  Call 451-5382 to request an application for registration, then return it by mail or fax to the Emeritus Institute, Irvine Valley College, 5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine CA 92618.  Or drop by during office hours to the Emeritus Institute office in the A100 building at Irvine Valley College.  A special telephone registration is available for Emeritus classes only. 

 

Students may also enroll during the first week of classes, but only if the class is not full.  Early registration is recommended, since some classes fill up quickly!
